I feel like it's more for gameplay rather then realism (as people point out most times) as this is still well.. a game and these animations are here to compliment the flow for the gameplay.

Or rather, a rational, realistic reload. I love Insurgency and a lot of modern reloads now but they are all pretentiously slow. Characters in these games now reload like they're slowly showing off for aesthetics' sake.

And why do you think that these reloads frustrate you a lot? Name one reason as to why you think that these reloads frustrate you a lot without saying "It's because they are really slow, and that's awful. All we want is Call of Duty styled fast reload animations and that's it, nothing else."!

@@elite-forcecinema1788 Insurgency animations always have been high quality, the slow speed of the reloads is quite weird though, some people argue it's due to realism and compare it to COD's faster reloads, but it doesn't really make sense as realism either, realistically you would try to reload a gun as fast as possible in a combat scenario while Insurgency's reload speed matches a casual reload on a shooting range and not on the battlefield That being said, the game's core design philosophy is slower reloads and there is nothing wrong with it in gameplay side of things, more "tactical", but it is slightly silly if you think about it, the animations don't have to be as fast as COD are but 1.2 speed is overall more realistic i think

I think some models of grenade launcher have an ejector built into the barrel. Like some models of single and double barreled shotguns. I don't know for sure because I never shot a grenade launcher in real life but I figure that would be the case since the casing would be ridiculously hot to touch.

I know the M79 has an extractor to make removing or dumping out the spent case much easier, since it is after all based on typical break-open shotguns.

the m320 case can fall out on its own but other times you have to manually pull them out due to expansion like you said; it’s random so more reliable to yank it out then try to make it fall out on its own. i’ve never used the M79 so i can’t speak on that, lol.

The game was handed off to a different game studio and they’re still honoring the promise of the previous studio to continue supporting the game for a few more years, especially since recently they’ve released the game on console and more players are joining.
